The film title "Kai Po Che" is originally a Gujarati phrase meaning “I have cut the kite” which refers to a kite competition. People celebrate this festival quite differently where one of the competitors uses his kite to cut off another competitors kite and yells “Kai Po Che!”

Adaptation

Adapted from the novel called “The 3 mistakes of my life” by chetan bhagat. This was chetan bhagats 3rd novel which was published in year 2008.

After 6 years novel is directed and produced as a film named “Kai Po Che” by Abhishek Kapoor. The story mainly revolves around three friends, Ishaan played by Shushant singh Rajput, Govind played by Raj Kumar Yadav and Omi played by Amit Sadh, who set out to open a sports training academy.

Performance:

Raj kumar Yadav excels and Amit sadh too but the man who won the hearts of audience is Shushant singh Rajput. There’s no doubt that the three of them were good but at the end of the day someone is best.

‘Vidya’ played by ‘Amrita Puri’ is cute with a tinge of joviality and naughtiness. She was a perfect sister and a lover. Not to forget about little “Ali” So true in his cricketing skills does look strong and playful. I won’t dig enough because I don’t want to spoil it for you.

The good:

As we are very familiar with Bollywood films about friendship is not a new thing. We have already witnessed “3 idiots”, “Rock On”, "Zindagi na milegi dobara”, “Dil chahta hai’. “Kai Po Che” looks similar initially but peel off the layers and it’s far more.

Who can watch:

In country like India where cricket is religion, whether a 6 year old boy or 60 year old man doesn’t want to miss a cricket match. The love scenes attracts the young couples. In the end the wholesome movie for everyone. Because in the movie they hit upon a brilliant plan to start a training academy along with cricket accessories stores that could produce Indians next sporting superstars and much more. As I watched it in 2020 after 7 years I liked it too, no matter of time you can also watch it in 2030.

The movie has 3 songs namely

• Manjha                  - by Amit Trivedi, Mohan Kanan
• Shubhaarambh     - by divya Kumar, Shruti Pathak
• Meethi Boliyaan    - by Mili

Gujarat means Garba and thus means beautiful. The songs are good. If I will go for the best song I will vote for ‘Shubhaarambh’. And I am pretty sure you will love it too. Music is too good.

Best movie of the year:

Earlier to, many movies tried to capture the incidents of Gujarat but this piece of work stands out from all of them. Beautifully and sensibly linking all of them with great success. Movie for not even a second deviate audiences. Not a one time movie u will not get bored easily Million time watchable movie.

My dream:

Cinematographer Anay Goswamy has made look Gujarat so beautiful that I feel like taking a vacation and running off to that place for kite festival. The actors have such great chemistry that it reminded me of my college days Oh god those days.

Final verdict:

Cricket, love, Friendship, Passion, Politics.. its all what India is about and its something that any sane minded Indian wouldn’t and shouldn’t miss. Go for it. You wont make mistake by watching Kai Po Che.
